We have some updates for An Assassin in Orlandes which fix a few issues that we know people have been having:
1.1 update (released 13/02)
- A few book links fixed that were causing problems
- Bug fixed that prevented some readers from finishing the adventure
- “Skip intro” added to options menu
- Can now play your own music (to do this check “skip intro” in options)
- Map bug fixed
1.2 update (released 17/02)
- Couple of logic links fixed
- Inventory black screen bug fixed for OS 2.2.1
- Small image achievements bug fixed
Is there a workaround for the bug that prevents me from finishing the game?
We have created an update of Assassin which is waiting approval at Apple which fixes the bug. There is a work-around which I’ll post shortly.
edit: actually on checking this in detail it is probably best you wait until the update is released. Sorry about that. One small line in the logic links I’m afraid.
I was having my first play of Assassin, and having read the rules I clicked on the map. Since then, I can’t do anything with Assassin as it now says that ‘That video format is not supported’ when there weren’t any problems before. Very frustrating.
By the way, this all happened after I downloaded the App update available from the App Store. Was this the work-around update you mentioned?
Hi Jon. No the workaround mentioned was for some small logic links in the book that were fixed in the update. This problem you’re having is very unusual and not one we’ve heard of. We can’t recreate it on our devices. I’ll get Ben to drop you an email to get some info from you.
